ABOUT ME


Hi, I am Marita Bester / Wildflower.  My Partner and I are currently located in Bangkok. I am the writer and he is my biggest supporter.   We are two wildflowers wandering abroad and like wildflowers, we grow in all places.

Why am I here?
The main reason is to share my travel and life experiences whilst living abroad.

In other words, I am combining my passion for writing and travel and want to share not only information but insightful experiences with my readers.

I truly hope that my writing will inspire my readers to travel or do whatever it is they love to do.


Why Blogging?
Writing has always been a hobby of mine and I have handwritten many journals over the years.
  I had been dreaming about being a writer since I was in Grade 4.  I have always been an avid reader since childhood and I think that is where the seed was planted. So starting a blog is long overdue.


Following my bliss.
My mom once told me to follow my heart. Sadly she passed away two years ago.
I believe that whatever I write comes from my heart and thus I am honoured to share my bliss, my life and all the places we are wandering.


Looking forward to the future.
 I am just starting out with blogging and still learning a lot as I go.  So I will probably update this page a few more times in future as I grow my blog.

How much do you really need to pack for a week at the beach?   Do you need more than a swimsuit, dress, flip-flops, book and some sunscreen for a week at the beach?  That's a question that I have wondered about many times.  It is very tempting to overpack and have this doomsday approach where you fill your bag with things that you think you might need just to regret it in the end.
